South Dakota Deer Hunts (Mule Deer & Whitetail)
Every year, Days In The Wild Outfitters takes 1-2 clients to South Dakota to hunt the rut in November during archery season. This is one of John's favorite hunts of the year, with tons of action and tons of fun. This hunt goes head-to-head with our Arizona archery deer hunts, but with 3x the success rate. Now that we have private ground for whitetail, the hunting is even better, and our clients can experience whitetail hunting like never before.
John has personally been hunting in South Dakota since 2005. For the past several seasons, our team has been developing new properties and accommodations for all of our clients' hunting styles, from stand-hunting to spot-and-stalk hunts. This year, we have expanded our hunting operations in South Dakota so we can offer more hunts on pristine, low-pressure, quality ranches. We are happy to announce several guided mule deer and whitetail hunts and options for our clients to enjoy.
Mule Deer Archery
Hunts take place the first half of November. Clients can typically expect 140-160” bucks with the potential for up to 180” bucks.
Quinn Ranch (Self-Guided)
Quinn Ranch is a 1500 acre private-land ranch, wholly surrounded by private land. This is pristine, super low-pressure land that only sees two hunters a year. One of our guides will meet you and spend a half-day to show you the property and give you tips on where and how to hunt it. Some stands/blinds in good locations will be available for your use. You are responsible for your own transportation, lodging, meals, etc. The nearest town is twenty minutes away, with available lodging, amenities and restaurants.
Spring Ranch (Semi-Outfitted)
Spring Ranch is a 1500-2900 acre private land which butts up to BLM and/or the Indian reservation. This is pristine, super low-pressure land that only sees four hunters a year. One of our guides will meet you and spend a half-day to show you the property and give you tips on where and how to hunt it. Some stands/blinds in good locations will be available for your use. You are responsible for your own transportation. Lodging and meals are included at our facility.
Main Ranch (Guided & Fully-Outfitted)
This is a five-day one-on-one guided hunt. We will provide transportation during the day while hunting.
Guided-only: You are responsible for your own transportation, lodging, meals, etc.
Fully Outfitted: We will pick you up from the airport, and you will stay in our bunk-house. You will be provided with three meals a day, plus drinks and snacks.
Whitetail Archery
Hunts take place the second half of November. Clients can typically expect 120-150” bucks with the potential for up to 165” bucks.
Black Hills Property (Guided & Fully-Outfitted)
We have an excellent property in the Black Hills of South Dakota to hunt whitetail deer, also with the potential for mule deer. This is a five-day one-on-one guided hunt. We will provide transportation during the day while hunting.
Guided-only: You are responsible for your own transportation, lodging, meals, etc.
Fully Outfitted: We will pick you up from the airport, and you will stay in our bunk-house. You will be provided with three meals a day, plus drinks and snacks.
